To learn how private and public keys work, it’s important to understand what encryption is.
Encryption is the process of taking a message and scrambling its contents so only certain people can look at your message.
There are 2 types of encryption:
1.Symmetric encryption: One key (password) is used to encrypt and decrypt data. Think about securing access to a document by choosing a password like “flowerpot.” In order for someone to open the document, they need to type in “flowerpot.” In this example, a single password (key) is used to encrypt and decrypt the document.
